Calling 112 is the quickest
way to contact the local operational centers of the Police, Gendarmerie,
Ambulance and Fire Dept. in case of the emergency situations.
A situation is considered as an emergency when intervention
of Police, Gendarmerie, Ambulance and Fire Dept. is
necessary to save and protect human lives, property and environment.
Examples of emergency situations:
- homicide;
- armed assault;
- terrorist attack;
- burglary;
- severe public disorder;
- escapes, desertions;
- drugs trafficking and consuming;
- traffic accidents that caused human casualties or stocked victims;
- thefts;
- explosions, electroshocks;
- sever subway accidents;
- railway and air accidents;
- severe medical problems;
- fires;
- floods.
The persons who call 112 must answer the following questions:
» What emergency does he/she want to report?
» Where is happening the situation ?
» Where is he/she now?
» What is his/her telephone number?
» What is his/her name?
The caller must remain on phone to answer further details about the situation
and to receive instructions from the operators.
